Sura 81 At-Takwir (The Overthrowing)

1. مُطَاعٍ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍ

   Obeyed there (in the heavens) and trustworthy.

   81:21

2. وَمَا صَاحِبُكُمْ بِمَجْنُونٍ

   And your companion is not (at all) mad.

   81:22

3. وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ بِالْأُفُقِ الْمُبِينِ

   And he has already seen Gabriel in the clear horizon.

   81:23

4. وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍ

   And Muhammad is not a withholder of (knowledge of) the unseen.

   81:24

5. وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَانٍ رَجِيمٍ

   And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled (from the heavens).

   81:25

6. فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ

   So where are you going?

   81:26

7. إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِلْعَالَمِينَ

   It is not except a reminder to the worlds

   81:27

8. لِمَنْ شَاءَ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ يَسْتَقِيمَ

   For whoever wills among you to take a right course.

   81:28

9. وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ

   And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds.

   81:29
